The idea for this site's concept began after the closing of Cheung Wah , the local Chinese restaurant, in the summer of 2006. The building still is empty with "for rent" signs on it. Since moving to Sloatsburg in the Winter of 2005, I have found the village to be a wonderful place to raise my family. I have seen small towns "die" over the years, as businesses close one by one. I do not want to see that happen here and decided to do what I can to promote the businesses of the village so that empty store fronts will not become a trend. Small businesses have a place on the internet, too, and I hope to get as many of them in front of an internet audience as I can to promote them.
